Even as students disperse from Indiana Wesleyan University's residential campus for spring break, the life of the university continues across America and beyond:
- IWU Wildcats men's and women's basketball are both headed to their respective national tournaments for the NAIA Division II, in Branson, Missouri and Sioux City, Iowa, respectively. (They play their first game Wednesday afternoon. See the men's and women's tournament brackets and follow their progress on wildcatcentral.tv.)
- Twenty-four students have made the 16-hour trip to New York City to spend their spring break in ministry in Harlem. IWU senior Patrick Fischl is blogging the journey.
- A team of 10 athletic training majors serving at Hephzibah Children's Home in Macon, GA. Athletic Training staff members Nate Foster and Jessica Keller are leading the team.
- A team of 11 is serving with an inner-city ministry in Los Angeles, CA - which, like IWU's global outreach arm, is also called World Impact. IWU Missionary in Residence Tiffany Gallant is leading the team.
- A team of 12 student/staff (from Evan Hall and Hodson Hall) serving with Global Partners of The Wesleyan Church doing orphanage ministry and basic home/church reconstruction projects on the island of La Gonave, Haiti. Evan Hall Resident Director Stephanie Smith and her husband Andy are leading the team.
- A team of eight students/staff serving with Poured Out Ministries is installing water filtration systems in Haitian villages and home. Marion, Indiana's College Wesleyan Church Outreach Pastor Thad Spring is leading the team.
- A team of 15 students has gone to South Carolina to work with a church plan pastored by IWU alum Wayne Otto.
- The IWU Wind Ensemble is on tour this week through North Carolina, Virginia and Ohio.
