Indiana Wesleyan University’s (IWU) National & Global division, which provides coursework nationally, online, and at 10 education centers throughout the Midwest, reported a new record enrollment in April. National & Global’s total enrollment of 11,672 represented the largest monthly enrollment, surpassing the previous high mark back in 2010.
“At a time when many higher education institutions are struggling to stay relevant, our school administration and faculty and staff have worked collaboratively to align our university resources with the market needs of tomorrow,” IWU President Jon S. Kulaga said. “These enrollment numbers we are now experiencing reinforce that our approach to higher learning today is meeting the needs of our students throughout the globe.”
IWU-National and Global has historically been a leader in innovative higher education delivery systems through what was formerly called the LEAP initiative and online offerings. Recent growth and record enrollment numbers have been driven by new, innovative offerings and serving international student populations.
“It is an exciting time at IWU-National & Global, and this record enrollment gives us the confidence to maintain our strong enrollment,” said Dr. Eileen Hulme, Chancellor of IWU-National & Global. “On the horizon are new programs and initiatives related to emerging fields, such as AI. We also are reimagining what a business education should be and differentiating ourselves with a holistic, integrated approach to healthcare education. The best is yet to come,” said Dr. Eileen Hulme, Chancellor of IWU-National & Global.
