Indiana Wesleyan University-National and Global is pleased to announce a new undergraduate certificate to be offered through DeVoe School of Business.
The new Human Resource Management certificate will prepare students for human resource (HR) practice through an 18-credit-hour program that can be completed in less than one year. Students will study topics related to management, leadership, organizational behavior, compensation, benefits, employee programs, and more.
Military personnel working in an HR capacity may be interested in this program as they plan their transition to civilian careers and life after the service. Students in certain military occupations can transfer in credits based on experience, then apply the credits toward the program, allowing them to finish even faster.
“The field of human resource management is constantly evolving to meet changing business needs,” said Michael Chase, Ph.D., associate professor and program facilitator for the HR programs offered by DeVoe School of Business. “The environment challenges students to be lifelong learners in order to stay current with such a dynamic environment. There are so many opportunities for students to develop a career that’s challenging, stimulating, and positively impacts the lives of others.”
The versatile certificate can prepare students for a variety of career paths, including:
- Compensation, benefits, & job analysis manager (or specialist)
- Human resources manager (or specialist)
- Training and development manager
- Labor relations specialist
Applications are now open for the HR management certificate program. Classes will begin in June 2021. For more information or to apply, visit indwes.edu/CHRM.
