Good leaders are the cornerstones of business, capable of inspiring the very best from their employees and the companies for which they work. IWU’s new Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership (BSOL) program is designed to give students the tools to inspire, motivate, and lead others to success.
"Management has more focus on policy, processes, systems, and business strategy. But leadership focuses on the people side of things: why people do what they do and focusing on effectiveness from the human piece of the organization,” said Mark Rennaker, BSOL program director.
The BSOL program is ideal for those seeking to change or advance their career, build their own personal leadership manual, or become an intentional leader in any industry or field.
Through this program, students will learn to:
- Develop as a leader and help others develop their leadership capabilities
- Foster an environment that embraces diverse, multicultural, and global perspectives
- Lead people and organizations through change and innovation
- Integrate the value of faith, critical thinking, and ethics into leadership practice
Organizational leadership degrees are highly adaptable to any industry. The skills students gain in the BSOL program can lead to management, administration, and general operations positions in human resources, sales, retail, construction, manufacturing, health services and more.
The first start date is January 19, 2021. For more information about the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership program at IWU, visit indwes.edu/BSOL.
