Indiana Wesleyan University-National and Global is pleased to announce an updated Master of Science in Accounting program through the DeVoe School of Business.
By offering three certifications, the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program will allow students to focus their studies in their personal area of interest. These specializations include financial accounting, public accounting and managerial accounting.
Led by CPAs, forensic accountants, former IRS examiners and managerial accountants, the program is designed to help students pursue their accounting career goals and prepare for relevant certification exams.
“Every course has multi-week projects that simulate the workplace experience,” said Duane Kilty, associate professor for DeVoe School of Business. “The program balances preparing for relevant exams and the practice of accounting.”
As an online program, students will have the opportunity to engage in course materials through virtual reality, video discussion applications, concept maps, demo videos from instructors and more. Students will also acquire valuable skills through career-focused projects centered around solving real accounting problems.
Graduates of the MSA program may pursue a career in public accounting, managerial accounting (for manufacturing, wholesale, or retail organizations), non-profit accounting, or non-profit leadership.
The new specializations in public accounting and managerial accounting will start in January 2021. For more information about the MSA program, visit indwes.edu/MSA.
