Indiana Wesleyan University will graduate approximately 1,742 students on Saturday, April 27 in three ceremonies in the Chapel Auditorium on the main Marion campus. The schedule for the commencement is as follows:
- 10 a.m. | IWU-Marion College of Arts & Sciences and School of Nursing, Division of Pre-licensure Degrees
- 2:30 p.m. | IWU-National & Global College of Adult and Professional Studies, Associate and Bachelor Degrees
- 6 p.m. | School of Nursing Division of Post-licensure (BSN), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Seminary Masters and all University Masters and Doctorate Program degrees
The commencement speaker will be Andy Crouch. He serves on the governing boards of Fuller Theological Seminary and the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. For more than 10 years, he was an editor and producer at Christianity Today. Crouch’s work and writing have been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time and several editions of Best Christian Writing and Best Spiritual Writing – and, most importantly, he received shout-outs in Christian hip-hop artist Lecrea’s 2014 single “Non-Fiction”. His two most recent books are “The Tech-Wise Family: Everyday Steps for Putting Technology in Its Proper Place” and “Strong and Weak: Embracing a Life of Love, Risk and True Flourishing.”
He studied classics at Cornell University and received a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology. A classically trained musician who draws from pop, folk, rock, jazz and gospel, he has led musical worship for congregations of all sizes. Crouch lives with his family in Pennsylvania.
General admission tickets are required for the 10 a.m. ceremony only. Overflow seating is available for the 10 a.m. ceremony in the Phillippe Performing Arts Center. All ceremonies will be streamed live at indwes.edu/events/commencement/webcast.
IWU's next commencement ceremonies are scheduled for August 10.
