Indiana Wesleyan University is gearing up to launch Give Day 2019 on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Give Day is an annual virtual event that invites IWU alumni, friends and family to light the way for students by making donations to various causes on the Marion residential campus as well as IWU-National & Global, the online adult programs.
This year, donors can participate in the IWU Student Fund Challenge. If 100 donors contribute to the IWU Student Fund – a fund that supports students on the IWU-Marion campus – a gift of $10,000 from an anonymous donor will be unlocked.
While the challenge specifically targets the IWU Student Fund, donors can make an impact in any of the following five areas:
- IWU Student Fund- Support students on the residential campus by providing financial support for academic scholarships, need-based scholarships, academic programs and teaching excellence.
- IWU National & Global Student Scholarship- Provide financial assistance to non-residential students at IWU-National & Global.
- Wesley Seminary- Support scholarships for seminary students and help make it possible for them to fulfill the call God has placed on their lives.
- IWU Athletics- Provide necessary resources to IWU coaches and student athletes to stay on the cutting edge of critical areas like leadership development, spiritual discipleship and skill training.
- School of Nursing- Equip future nurses by bringing Victoria, a childbirth simulator, to the IWU Fortune Simulation Lab. It is a comprehensive package of tools and support designed to help improve patient safety in women’s health through education and training.
- Division of Music- Help start an IWU marching band that will perform at Wildcat football games! Donations will go toward uniforms, instruments, rehearsal space and more.
“We are excited and honored to invite the IWU Family to join together on Give Day 2019,” said Jennifer Fox, director of annual giving. “An IWU experience means something unique to each one of us. Give Day provides an opportunity for us all to come together as the IWU community and make an impact on current students and generations to come as they strive to grow in character, scholarship and leadership.”
Donations will be accepted all day on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Please make donations by visiting giveday.indwes.edu.
