Indiana Wesleyan University is hosting approximately 280 visitors on Friday, Nov. 9 for a three-track visit day. Visitors can choose to attend either the 1) General Visit Day, 2) Spotlight on Modern Language and Literature or 3) Spotlight on Communication and Theatre. Students will arrive at 9 a.m. and spend the entire day getting acquainted with the programs, faculty and community on the IWU residential campus in Marion, Indiana.
A General Visit Day is a visit option designed for students who simply want to get a general overview of all things IWU. Students attending this visit day will have the opportunity to tour campus, worship in Chapel, eat in Baldwin Dining Hall, interact with students and faculty, explore all IWU’s majors and more.
A Spotlight Visit Day is a special visit option designed for two types of students: 1) those who already know what they want to study and 2) those who may not be fully decided on a major, but are interested in learning more about a particular area of study. The day is tailor-made to give visitors quality time with the faculty and students in their specific area of interest.
Students attending the Spotlight Visit Day on Friday will take a tour of campus, eat lunch in Baldwin Dinning Hall, sit in on a class, and tour Elder Hall, which is the main academic building for Communication and Theatre students as well as Modern Language and Literature students.
The IWU Division of Communication and Theatre offers five majors and minors. Students who study within the division are immersed in an environment where they learn to give voice to the stories around them. Students are able to get hands-on experience through IWU’s student-run radio station, newspaper and television station.
