IWU-National & Global and Premier Health, a health system based in Dayton, Ohio, have partnered to offer registered nurses employed by Premier Health a discounted tuition rate for IWU-National & Global’s RN-BSN degree program.
IWU-National & Global’s RN-BSN program is designed for working registered nurses with associate degrees who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN). All registered nurses who are currently employed by Premier Health at any one of its five inpatient locations, which include hospitals in Dayton, Ohio; Middletown, Ohio; and Troy, Ohio; and health centers in Englewood, Ohio, and Centerville, Ohio, will have the opportunity to enroll in IWU-National & Global’s RN-BSN degree program at a discounted rate of $250 per credit hour. The discounted tuition rate will apply to registered nurses at all Premier Health locations for select cohorts.
Previously, all Premier Health employees were offered a 10-percent discount for several IWU-National & Global degree programs. IWU will continue to offer the 10-percent discount to Premier Health employees who are interested in pursuing degrees other than the RN-BSN program, with some exclusions, including all IWU-Marion residential degree programs, IWU’s family nurse practitioner degree program and all doctoral programs.
“We’re thrilled at the opportunity to offer this tuition discount for Premier Health employees to continue their education and to help registered nurses earn their bachelor’s degrees,” said David Rose, vice president for enrollment and marketing at IWU-National & Global. “This is only one of many steps IWU-National & Global is taking as part of our commitment to expand access to quality, affordable higher education to working adults.”
The RN-BSN program requires a successful completion of 31 credit hours in courses that cover such topics as pharmacology, newborn nursing, transcultural nursing, community health nursing, and nursing leadership and management. An associate degree with a major in nursing; a diploma from a state Board of Nursing-accredited hospital school of nursing; or an equivalent degree from a proprietary college with national accreditation; and proof of current RN licensure is required to enroll in the program.
