Indiana Wesleyan University is pleased to announce its residential campus in Marion, Indiana, has been selected as the 2018 spring training site for Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, a world-class competitive junior drum and bugle corps. IWU will host the group from May 16-June 20.
Having served as Bluecoats’ housing site for the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana, since 2013, IWU has the perfect mix of outstanding facilities and excellent service uniquely suited to hosting the corps for their five-week spring training. The corps will utilize grass rehearsal fields— including the new football field— as well as the Phillippe Performing Arts Center and Troyer Fieldhouse Athletic Center. All members will stay overnight in residence halls.
“IWU is thrilled to host the corps for spring training,” said Keith Brakel, executive director of conference services at IWU. “Their organization exhibits the highest degree of excellence both on and off the field. We look forward to expanding our partnership.”
All rehearsals on IWU’s campus will be open to the public, but the corps asks that no video or still photography be taken of any of their activities while on campus.
