Marion Design Co., a creative studio and branch of Indiana Wesleyan University’s Division of Art + Design, and in collaboration with the City of Marion, was recently awarded a $6,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Grant County, Indiana, Inc., made possible by generous donors since 1984.
The grant will partially fund the completion of the second phase in the final build of the newly designed website for the City of Marion, which will contribute the final $2,000. The website, www.cityofmarion.in.gov, will be ready for public use by the end of Fall 2017 and will conclude the City’s rebranding project led by Luke Anspach, Herb Vincent Peterson, and Wendy Puffer, all of Marion Design Co. The project began in the summer of 2016 and was facilitated by IWU's Division of Art + Design student interns and in collaboration with the City of Marion with input from the community of Marion.
Marion Design Co. was co-founded in 2016 by three IWU Art + Design professors, Anspach, Peterson and Puffer, for the purpose of implementing socially relevant design solutions that propel and empower the people of Marion. For more information on Marion Design Co., visit www.mariondesign.co.
