Indiana Wesleyan University’s Marion campus will be hosting a Transition to Nursing (TTN) informational meeting from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, June 30. The chair of the IWU Transition to Nursing program, Veronica Peters, will present an overview of the accelerated second-degree nursing program. An opportunity to tour on-campus housing and state-of-the-art nursing facilities will be available.
The Transition to Nursing program is designed for those who want to become a nurse and currently hold a bachelor’s degree in another field from an accredited institution. The accelerated 63-credit-hour program offers students the opportunity to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in approximately 14 months. For greater flexibility, IWU offers two different start dates during the year— one in January and the other in June.
“The TTN program provides students the opportunity to study and learn alongside others who have diverse academic and employment experiences,” said Peters. “Students learn provision of nursing care in multiple clinical settings, addressing clients’ physical, spiritual, developmental, cultural and social needs.”
The informational meeting is open to the public and will take place in Burns Hall in the Nursing Simulation Lab (Room 110). Please RSVP by June 26 to Rita Duchane at rita.duchane@indwes.edu.
