Indiana Wesleyan University will welcome nearly 900 high schools students and their adult sponsors to campus April 7-8 as it hosts FUSION 2017. The annual event is a two-day high school youth conference dedicated to providing a space for students to grow closer to God. Fusion 2017 is designed to help students experience the love of Christ, sense His power at work and begin a life transformed.
This year, FUSION’s Friday night concert will feature Grammy-nominated Relient K. The band has been making records since 1997 and has sold over two and a half million records. Joining Relient K will be special guest worship band Zealand. The concert begins at 8 p.m. and is open to the general public. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at https://www.indwes.edu/youthministry/fusion/ or by calling the IWU Box Office at 765-677-2610.
High school conference attendees will stay on the IWU campus through Saturday where they will participate in worship, various seminars and recreational activities. Main sessions will feature Nicole Reyes, a pastor and speaker who desires for millennials and young people everywhere to experience the radical love of Jesus Christ and passionately pursue His plans. She currently serves as Teaching Coach at Liberty Church and Director of the Liberty Foundation, a missions organization pioneering local churches globally.
“We are so excited for another great year at FUSION,” said Charlie Alcock, director of FUSION and professor of Youth Ministry. “Every year we hear of so much life change that occurs here on our campus, and we are grateful for the opportunity to keep providing that space where high school students can come experience God’s goodness.”
