Indiana Wesleyan University will be hosting a job fair on Tuesday, March 22 as a way for Indiana employers to network with one another as well as meet, recruit and interview students for both internships and full-time employment opportunities. Spaces for interviews, displays and recruitment will be available at no charge. The job fair will take place from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. in the Barnes Student Center on IWU’s residential campus in Marion, Indiana.
“At this job fair students will have the opportunity to interact with a variety of Indiana businesses from many industry sectors,” said Caitlin Finch, director of Career Development. “The goal is to expose students to the professional opportunities in the state of Indiana.”
The job fair is part of a larger four-day event called Experience Indiana, which is aimed at celebrating Indiana opportunities in business, employment, the arts and recreational sites. Experience Indiana is part of a grant initiative funded by the Lilly Endowment that will bring together vendors, employers and students in an environment providing networking and business training practices.
Other Experience Indiana events include:
- Celebrate Indiana— A celebration of the different talents Indiana has to offer.
- Employer University— A workshop providing entrepreneurs with timely educational programming and networking.
- Made in Indiana— An exhibition of incredible attractions from all around Indiana as well as products made in Indiana.
- Celebrate Grant County— A celebration of all local businesses, companies and attractions available to the Grant County community.
All events will take place March 21-24 and are free of charge. To register a business for the job fair or to see the full four-day schedule, visit experienceindiana.squarespace.com.
