Reed Hall opened in the fall of 1999 and has served as both a women’s and men’s hall in its lifetime. Reed has been a female hall again since 2010 and is currently home to 206 women. Since it is a traditional hall housing freshmen through seniors, Reed women benefit from the informal mentoring and peer support that can happen when students at every stage in their college experience share life and learning together.
Vision for Reed Hall:
“In Reed Hall we strive to love all people as God calls us to. We will embrace differences, have fun, and encourage one another to grow in Christ. We hope that those who step through the doors of Reed Hall feel welcome and a sense of belonging.”
Favorite IWU Tradition:
“I love that we do a foot washing ceremony with new students. It is a powerful way to start a new season in community that values service and humility.
I also love Wildcat Week—specifically Lodge Ball! Everyone is watching and cheering on the track above the courts...that atmosphere is just unmatched!”
